Elsamere is located on the southwest shore of Lake Naivasha in Kenya's Rift Valley.
This was the home of George and Joy Adamson, of Born Free fame and is now home to the Elsa Conservation Trust, which acts mainly as a kind of educational establishment, hosting lots of local school groups. Simple accommodation is provided in 16 cottages around the main house, but is mainly used these days by researchers and conservation groups.
